Types of Number...
Number: a number is a basic component of mathematics.
Numbers are used for counting ,measuring, keeping things in order indexing.
✍️ Natural number:
The number 1,2,3,4,..... are called natural number.
*Natural number is also called as counting number.
* Smallest natural number is 1 .
*The largest natural number cannot be specified.
*Zero is not a natural number.
*Natural numbers are infinite.
✍️ Whole number :
Whole numbers are formed taking 0 and natural number. Ex 0,1,2,3,4,5,....
*All natural numbers are whole numbers.
*The smallest whole number is zero.
*The largest whole number cannot be specified.
*Whole numbers are infinite.
✍️ Integer :
Positive number ,negative number and zero are called indiger number. Ex....-4,-3,-2,0,1,2,3,4,...
* 0 is centre of the number.
*Number on the right gate bigger and on the left get smaller
*The smallest positive integer number is 1 .
*The largest negative integer is -1 .
*Zero is not a positive integer and is not a negative integer.
✍️ Opposite number.
*If N is a natural number then negative (-N )and its opposite.
*Two rational numbers whose sum is zero are called inverse or positive or opposite number.
*The opposite of 1 is -1
*The opposite of -2 is + 2
*The opposite number of zero is zero.
✍️Even numbers :
A number that is fully divisible by 2 is called an even number.
*An even number has a digit 0, 2, 4 ,6 or 8 in its units place.
*The smallest even number is 2.
*The largest single digit even number is 8.
*Zero is not an even number.
*There are 50 even numbers in between 1 to 100.
*45 of the two digit number are even.
✍️Odd numbers :
A number which is not fully divisible by 2 is called an odd number.
*A number which when divide by 2 leaves a remainder of 1 is an odd number.
*The unit place of an odd number is 1,3,5,7,9.
*There are 50 odd numbers in the number from 1 to 100.
*45 of the two digit numbers are odd numbers.
* 1 is neither even or odd.
✍️Prime numbers-
* A number whose only two dividers are one and that number is called prime number. Ex..2,3,5,7,11....
* The smallest prime number whose only two divisor are one number is 2.
* The smallest odd prime number 3.
* The smallest two digit prime number is 11.
* The biggest two digit prime number is 97.
* The even prime number is 2.
* There are a total 25 prime number from 1 to 100.
* There are total 15 prime number from 1 to 50.
* The prime numbers are infinite.
* The sum of all prime number from 1 to 100 is 1060.
Prime numbers...
* 1 to 10 = 2 ,3, 5 ,7

* 31 to 40 = 31,37
* 41 to 50 = 41,43,47
* 51 to 60 = 53,59
* 61 to 70 = 61,67
* 71 to 80 = 71,73,79
* 81 to 90 = 83,89
* 91 to 100 =97
*The total number of prime number from 101 to 200 is 21...
101, 107 109 113 127, 131 137,139,149,151,157,163,167,173,179,181,191,193,197,199
✍️ Composite number :
A number which has dividers other than one and that number is called a composite number.
* Numbers which are not prime are called composite numbers.
* The smallest composite number is 4.
* There are a total of 74 composite numbers from 1 to 100.
* One is neither prime nor composite.
✍️ Triangular numbers :
The product of two consecutive natural numbers is called triangular numbers.
* There are 13 triangular number from 1 to 100.
* As follows 1,3,6,10,15,21,28,36,45,55,66,78,91
* Smallest triangular number is 1.
* The sum of two adjacent triangular numbers is a square number.
✍️ Square number
Any whole square number is called square number.
* A number multiplied by the same number is a square number.
* There are total 10 square number from 1 to 100.
* As follows 1,4,9,16,25,36,49,64,81,100.
✍️ Cube numbers :
When a number is taken and multiplied three times the product is called the cube. of that number and is the same cube number.
* As follows 1,8,27,64,125,216,343,512,729,.....
✍️ Rational numbers
Numbers which can be written in p/q form,where q #0
* As follows 1/3, 5/6, 7/8, 6/4
✍️ Irrational number
Number which cannot be expressed in p/q form. Eg. √2,√7,√10,...
✍️ Real numbers
All numbers on number line are real number.
✍️ Cardinal numbers
Cardinal numbers are numbers that are used for counting real objects or counting things.
* Eg. 1,2,3,4,5,6,....
* They tell us the quantity of objects.
* Cardinal numbers do not include fractions or decimals.
* The smallest Cardinal number is 1.
✍️ Ordinal numbers
